The Marks Project is a not-for-profit online research hub and dictionary of American studio ceramics (1946 – Present). The Grant Writer, reporting to the Executive Director, will identify and write grant proposals for a young non-profit to support continued research and documentation of American studio ceramic artists and potters on an established website.
Knowledge of art funding organizations and family foundations supporting the arts a plus. This position can be done remotely and does not require travel.
Ideal entry level position for motivated candidate on development track. The candidate is ideally a college graduate in art history or business with proven grant identification experience, writing skills, and strong references. They should have a clear, comfortable, but professional writing style and an interest in the decorative arts and/or contemporary ceramics. Proficiency in MS Office is a must.
