The Kennedy Center is in need of savvy writers to create print and digital materials for young people. These students may be attending performances at the Center or learning about the arts via ARTSEDGE, the media arm of the Center’s education department. Tone and manner is kid-friendly, relaxed, and conversational sounding.
Experience as a print and/or digital writer is required and may be represented through work that includes being an arts educator, instructional designer, K-12 teacher, educational publications writer, arts-centered lifestyle magazine writer, or writer with a journalism background. Specific art form fluency isn’t required, but it can be a plus; strong research skills are a major plus.
