Small consulting firm has a need for a technical writer to compose a manual for a machine control software package. Some experience writing software user manuals is highly desirable, but industry-specific education will be provided as necessary. An existing manual for a much earlier version of the software is available as an example.
This is strictly a contract position: You provide your own computer and work location and choose your own hours. It’s expected that the manual will be composed in Microsoft Word; the expected length is around 200 pages or so. This would be a perfect job for someone looking to pick up a bit of extra money after hours – persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
