Student Health 101 is the go-to online wellness outreach program for hundreds of colleges, universities, and high schools around the US and Canada.
Working collaboratively with a talented and creative editorial team, the Editor reports directly to our Executive Editor and is responsible for the creation, coordination, and delivery of wellness-related education content each month. But…it can’t just be educational; it also has to be fun. We want someone who can combine killer research skills with a playful and nuanced voice, tone, and approach. The final product should be fact-based and accurate without being judgmental, sensational, or boring. Our ideal candidate is ready to take on this exciting opportunity to support the well-being of millions of students and to boost their career in writing, editing, health communication, and/or health education.
A part-time editor should expect to devote 5-15 hours per week. Hours may vary based on the editorial calendar.
This position is based remotely, and the schedule is somewhat flexible (depending on deliverable dates). Editors are contracted freelancers and are paid a monthly retainer for ten months of the year. If you are a freelancer, the position represents a fantastic way to create a steady, predictable income.
