SLM Media Group is seeking a hard-working, eagle-eyed individual to proofread, format and sometimes write copy for special advertising sections and custom promotions in our three print publications and on our website.
This is a long-term freelance position with an expected schedule of 15–20 hours per week, depending on the workload. You must be able to work on-site at least part of that time.
Operating within an existing template or set of guidelines, you will be responsible for communicating directly with advertising clients in order to gather information needed to complete projects. You will need to proofread all submissions for grammar, clarity and length to ensure that content is error-free and adheres to the guidelines that have been set.
For some projects, you will be required to write copy based on the client’s input. You will need to act as a liaison between clients, sales representatives and the art/production teams in order to manage the workflow of these projects so that deadlines for each monthly cycle are met.
