The Penn State Justice and Safety Institute (JASI) is seeking qualified applicants for a temporary editorial position. The Editor/Proofreader will work with the Criminal Justice Professional Training team to revise, proofread, and re-format specific class instructor guides and student guides using Associated Press (AP) style.
The Editor will be responsible for checking over final drafts to ensure the absence of errors; for fixing any grammatical, punctuation and spelling errors: and will assist with some source confirmation, as needed.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in most Microsoft applications, such as Word, PowerPoint and Publisher. In addition, experience with using AP Stylebook and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite is preferred.
Remote work location may be considered for the well qualified candidate. Term of employment will be June 1, 2017 to November 30, 2017 (approximate end date) with a possibility of renewal.
Rate of pay is $10.00 an hour for up to 12 hours per week.
