Prison Fellowship (PF) is seeking a Writer and Managing Editor for our Inside Journal publication. In this role you will be primarily responsible for producing Prison Fellowship’s newspaper for prisoners.
This includes: working with the senior editor and field leaders to determine the theme and detailed content for each edition; executing the editorial plan by writing and/or editing all content, including text and photo resources, and working with the graphic design team to complete each edition; managing relationships with freelance writers, photographers, and print vendors; marketing the newspaper to partners; and maintaining data about the newspaper.
The writer and managing editor will also have some program marketing writing responsibilities as assigned by the senior writer and editor, including but not limited to: blog entries, op-eds, articles, etc.
Inside Journal shines light in dark places. PF created Inside Journal in 1991 meet the needs of those in prison by providing uplifting content that clearly communicates the Gospel.
