The Week is looking for a smart, nimble freelance writer to contribute regular articles and features to the magazine. The ideal candidate will be able to write quickly and engagingly about anything and everything, but experience writing about business, technology, food, and/or culture will be an asset.
This individual should have a solid stable of clips written for mainstream online or print outlets, and be a confident, organized news junkie who can write clean, engaging, concise copy with little editing. Versatility, creativity, and wit are critical, as is the ability to adapt to The Week’s unique format and tone.
This is an excellent opportunity for a creative, hard-working self-starter eager to contribute to one of the sharpest and hardest-working operations in media.
Full-time staff position will be considered for the right candidate.
—A minimum of 2 years of journalism experience
