We are seeking writers and editors for an online high school photography course. The writing and editing team will develop instructional text, assessment items, and student projects. This course is designed to introduce beginners to the fundamentals of photography. The focus of the course will include: teaching students to correctly explain the setup and proper use of basic photography equipment; describing professional habits, etiquette, and technology essential to creating a photograph; and creating and presenting a portfolio of work. Camera equipment is not required for the student.
Writing and editing is expected to begin by March 1 and will continue for approximately three months. Candidates should have a demonstrated knowledge of photography and an ability to create engaging online instruction at the high school level. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and/or freelance writing experience appropriate to the course content. Applicants should be able to devote 20+ hours/week to the project.
