FoxNext Games is a business unit of FoxNext driving interactive storytelling to the next quality level. We are actively developing a pool of freelance writers for future narrative projects and seeking a diverse group of talented creators to contribute.
To that end, we are initiating an open call for potential freelancers. If you’re interested in writing for FoxNext Games, we encourage you to send an interactive sample for our review. If we like what we see, you may be contacted at a later date to discuss working with us on a specific assignment that matches your skills. (This could take some time!)
We can’t promise to respond to all submissions or provide personalized feedback. In some cases, we may reply with a request for additional information, more samples, or revisions. This is an offsite position; presence in San Francisco is not required.
That’s the short version. Here’s the long version:
Who Are We Looking For?
- Veteran narrative designers who’ve been making games for decades and have a bibliography a mile long, who are eager to jump into a narrative focused project and help shape a story.
- People who’ve never worked on a game before but who have distinct voices and a passion for the craft of interactive storytelling.
- Freelancers who bring underrepresented backgrounds and viewpoints to the table.
- Writers able to accept feedback and work as part of a team while still advocating a clear creative vision. (Everyone says this, granted, but we do mean it)
Samples from outside the United States are welcome. Samples must demonstrate English fluency. All submitters must be at least 18 years old.
