The Research & Data Journalist will work closely as a freelancer with DTC team members to gather data and information for our client’s digital marketing campaigns. They will use qualitative research methods to research a broad range of ideas, topics, and trends. The Research Journalist will be responsible for finding the most relevant, unique and up-to-date information for content creation and development. Your contribution to client campaigns will be essential to providing successful content marketing results.
The Research & Data Journalist should be able to use a wide range of research tools and resources to deliver factually accurate and concise information for a wide range of topics. They should also have an understanding of the marketing initiatives as they relate to our client’s digital marketing goals. Experience with big data and survey methodology is a plus.
While you’ll have control over the methods in which you conduct your research, you should be inspired and driven to help tell incredible online stories using information from the most reputable and verifiable sources.
Commitment to delivering accurate, edited and professional grade research on short deadlines is a must. The right candidate for this role has a strong analytical mind who can conduct thorough research and develop well-written research outlines that will eventually become online narratives. He/she should have an understanding of the digital media landscape and know how to mine popular publications and journals on the web for the most up-to-date information possible.
This is a freelance position with the possibility of in-office opportunities in Chicago.
