Short Job summary: A Copy Editor and Grammar Guru is needed to work on a contract basis for language mega-site Dictionary.com to improve and fine-tune a sizable collection of informational articles. The Copy Editor will gloss through short articles (500-600 words long), applying style guide rules and meeting editorial standards. This contract will last 2-3 months.

Job Description:

We are searching for a grammar and copy editing expert to revise and polish a large set of educational articles that have been written for Dictionary.com. This is a temporary 2-3 month contract position.

Working alongside the content teams at Dictionary, you’ll shape the future of our online English grammar content. Your editorial and copyediting skills will directly lead to publishing over 900 new articles, which will help guide our over 70 million monthy users.

What you get to do

· Edit and approve shortform (500-600 word) articles, utilizing style guide and quality rubrics

· Record and associate word-related metadata to approved articles for later use

· Assist with categorizing and prioritizing articles within the project
