Capital Impact Partners, a nonprofit community development financial institution, seeks an experienced feature writer to help us capture one of our projects in the Olympic Peninsula. The story will be character driven, with a focus on one or two individuals, that broadens out to tell our larger story around how home health care cooperatives support jobs for older adult women. More details about the initiative can be found here. While some interviewing can be done over the phone, at least one-two site visits will be required in the Port Townsend area.
Examples of our other stories can be found at www.capitalimpact.org/stories. The final product can range from 1000-2000 words based on available content. We are always interested in multimedia components as they can be supplied by the writer or photographer we hire.
We can negotiate rates based on “per-word” or as a set fee for the project.
Writers should submit a link to an online profile that shows examples of character-based features and interest in mission-driven narratives. If no online site, please submit samples or links to where examples can be found on third-party sites.
