Short Job summary: Bookbright Media, a project manager and developer of scholarly works for publishers, is seeking Freelance Fact-Checkers and Researchers to work on middle school and high school social science books. Freelancers will need to work onsite at the company's office in Atlanta, GA for the duration of this project. Duties include validating facts in text; editing for correctness and consistency; writing new prose to augment work of other writers; and conducting extensive research. Payment is $700/weekly.
Bookbright Media has immediate need for freelance researchers and fact-checkers for middle school and high school social science books. This will be a 2- to 6-week project depending on what part of the project you are assigned to.
What You’ll Do:
Verify that all writing adheres to client standards of factual accuracy and clarity.
Creatively solve information needs in limited time.
Provide support in liaising with clients to provide excellent customer service and troubleshoot development snares as necessary.
Write new prose content as necessary to supplement work of other writers and editors with factually accurate material.
Recommend edits to editorial staff to bring erroneous material in line with fact.
