Freelance Work Write about Social Justice Issues for ResistMedia.org
RESIST is a media and education platform fighting oppression and supporting radical movements for love, justice, and liberation. We’re currently hiring part-time freelance Contributing Writer positions.
We’re looking for writers with strong intersectional anti-oppression analysis, experience with online writing, a well-developed writing voice, and good content expertise in one or more of our focus areas.
Ideally, applicants should be able to write from the perspective of the communities or identities being affected by the issue area being addressed.
We currently have a particular focus on intersectional feminism (including LGBTQIA+, disability, etc), racial justice, indigenous resistance, anti-fascism, and Islamophobia, though also do pieces on other issue areas.
Each Contributing Writer is expected to complete at least 2 articles each month, but with approval can submit up to 12 articles a month. Articles should generally be between 1,250-2,500 words in length.
Contributing Writers will be paid $100 per article published.
