Freelance Work Freelance Writers Needed to Write Articles for NYC Food Policy Watch eNewsletter
Experienced Freelance Writers are invited to contribute expert-level, evidence-based articles to NYC Food Policy Watch, the monthly eNewsletter of the New York City Food Policy Center.
Each issue focuses on food policy activities locally (New York City), nationally, and the rest of the word. The editors need freelance writers to write knowledgeably on topics relevant to fair food policy, nutrition, food accessibility, sustainable agriculture, urban horticulture, food/health technologies, etc.
The eNewsletter publishes journalistic-style stories, investigative articles, and listicles. Typically length of an editorial piece is 700-1500 words with citations.
Payment: per article. The amount is discussed individually based on the article and writer’s experience.
Writers work remotely. Submit only original articles. Writers can acquaint themselves with the eNewsletter’s content and the organization’s campaigns at nycfoodpolicy.com.
