Job summary: A Freelance Technical Writer is needed to provide writing services for an online environmental organization that advocates the social and security effects of climate change, clean energy, and environmental destruction. Working remotely from home, the Technical Writer will compose blog posts and community-driven content for LinkedIn about important energy issues, as well as oversee the organization's social media accounts. Payment is $15/hour.

Job Description

We are an online environmental public interest, educational organization that produces webinars and other events about the social and security impacts of climate change, clean energy, and environmental degradation.

We have a part time (1099), flexible position (10+ hours a week) for a technical writer/analyst with experience in energy and fuels. We need an experienced analyst to research energy issues, write blog posts and LinkedIn discussions and keep the organization current on social media sites. A science or engineering degree or equivalent experience is required. We need an experienced writer with 5 or more years of experience and good organizational and communication skills, who can take charge and work independently.
